Bear Is Life

The Inheritance (Breach Wars, #1)The Inheritance by Ilona Andrews
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Absolutely loved this one... 5 stars without question.

It's such a fun, interesting start to a new series, and the dynamic duo of Bear and Adaline is everything. Bear is life, and their interactions had me grinning the whole time.

I also really appreciated that the protagonist isn't an 18-year-old with no life experience. She's a mom, she's competent, she's a badass, and that makes the story feel grounded and genuinely satisfying.

Cute, clever, and full of energy. This is definitely a series I want to keep going with.

Lines that Lingered:
If you want to be happy, you look for joy in small things. A cup of your favorite coffee. A good book. Vegging out on the couch after a long, hard day at work. Some people might say those are moments when you are content, not happy. But I will take what I can get, and right now this is a moment.”

Everything had to be done. Everything had to be taken care of. My life was so busy, at times it felt like I dissolved into it. I was getting older and older, time was flying by, and I was powerless to stop it. Millions of moments and all of them taken.
