Where to Find Me Causing Bookish Chaos:

Got a question? A recommendation I absolutely need to hear? Just want to tell me I'm not alone in having a TBR pile that could double as furniture? Use the fancy contact form below. I read every single message and do my best to reply; it might just take me a minute to pry my nose out of a book first.

The Fine Print (Or: How Reviews Work Around Here)

If you're an author or publisher considering reaching out, read this first. I like to keep things transparent, so let's make sure we're a good fit before either of us wastes the other's time.

What I Read (And Love):

My reading life has two modes. The first is literary and speculative fiction with real stakes... books that make you feel something urgent, whether that's a dystopian world collapsing, a character whose voice you can't shake, or a scientific problem you didn't know you cared about. The second is fantasy in most of its forms, especially when it leans dark, propulsive, or has a romantic thread woven through it. I also have a soft spot for romance as a palate cleanser. I'm particular about it, but when it clicks, it really clicks. Throw in the occasional piece of sharp, angry nonfiction and you've got my whole reading life in a nutshell.

What I Probably Won't Read:

Slower-burn mysteries and straightforward thrillers aren't usually my thing. I tend to find the payoff underwhelming. Hard pass on dense experimental prose for its own sake, sports memoirs, and anything where the plot exists entirely to deliver shock value.

My Reviewing Ethos (Fancy Word for "How I Do Things"):

  • Honesty is my only policy. If I love a book, I will shout it from the rooftops. If a book isn't for me, I will explain why, respectfully, but without sugarcoating. Whether I bought the book or received a copy makes zero difference to what I write.
  • I don't rate books I don't finish. Life's too short, and my TBR is too long. If a book is a DNF (Did Not Finish), I'll let you know and tell you why I put it down.
  • My ratings are based on feels. A 5-star book made me lose sleep, ignore people I love, or stare at a wall when it was over. A 3-star book was perfectly fine and left almost no mark on me. A 1-star book exists, and I will tell you about it.
