This book was just... a really nice time.

It's a quiet, character-driven sci-fi story that's much more interested in relationships, everyday moments, and found family than high-stakes action. Once I adjusted my expectations and stopped waiting for big plot twists, I found it easy to settle into the book.

The tone stayed consistently calm and warm, and it was a cozy, relaxing experience that I could just enjoy without needing to analyze every detail. I'm glad I picked it up, and I'll likely read on with the series.
